TEHRI: Two paraglider pilots were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) after they lost control and fell into Tehri Lake during the three-day Acro Festival & SIV Championship Tehri 2026. The incident occurred on Thursday.The SDRF team acted swiftly, reaching the pilots without delay and safely pulling them out of the lake, efficiently conducting the rescue operation.

Special rescue teams of SDRF had already been deployed in the Pratapnagar area and around Tehri Lake as part of security arrangements for the festival.Both pilots underwent a preliminary medical examination. Reports confirmed that they were completely safe and were moved to a secure location following the rescue.The three-day Acro Festival & SIV Championship Tehri 2026 continues with heightened safety and rescue measures in place to ensure the well-being of participants.
